Theatrical Premiere of ‘The Responders’

The Responders: Breaking the Silence is the untold story of September 11th, 2001, both from the uncensored experience of the first responders who risked their lives that day and from those who have since responded to the call to speak the truth.

Combining exclusive interviews with rarely seen archival footage, The Responders tells the harrowing—but ultimately hopeful—saga of camaraderie, survival and courage in the face of overwhelming crimes against the conscience of humanity.

If the Responders can face what was done to them, then so must we.

The theatrical premiere takes place at 2:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 11, followed by a Q&A with the film’s director, John Kirby, and some of its protagonists.

There will be ten 8-foot-long tables in El Cafe (where food will also be served, ensuring lots of foot traffic) for activists and vendors to promote their work. You can have either a whole table ($600) or half a table ($400).

Lodging

Save 50% on your hotel by staying at the Aloft by Marriott Harlem, a short 8-minute drive from El Museo del Barrio. Most of the speakers and organizers will also be staying there. Our group rate of $255 to $270 per night is the lowest you’ll find. Must reserve by August 16th. Book now!

For a more upscale option that is relatively close to the venue and still quite affordable thanks to the group rate we’ve secured of $335 per night from 9/9 to 9/13, we recommend The Lucerne New York (the nights with green dots are the discounted nights!).
